Parks in Kathmandu

Park is a place to park worries, imbibe nature, remind of God's blessings, and learn to stand up like a tree to face life's weather. Bhrikuti Mandap Park, Kathmandu

Bhrikuti Mandap Park was named in honour of a Nepali princess who married a Tibetan Prince. This beautiful park is situated across the road from Tundikhel. You can stroll in the park and interact with the local population. Adjacent to this park is a children's amusement park - a kind of Nepalese mini-Disneyland.

The admission ticket costs 40 NRS for adults. Children up to 3 years old are free.

Shankhadhar Park

Ratna Park is a park and surrounding district in central Kathmandu, Nepal. It is named after Queen Ratna, the wife of King Mahendra. It was built for the children and is named after Ratna, the second queen of King Mahendra. It is situated between Rani Pokhari and Tudikhel in the heart of Kathmandu. One of the most visited parks which are lies at the centre of the valley, This park is famous for film shooting, TikTok making and fresh air. You have to pay for tickets before entering this park. This park has different types of entertaining objects like a seesaw, rope climber, etc which will definitely make your child smile. This is a wonderful palace for mind relaxing. Peace environment, natural beauty, open area & well decorated. I just love this place.

Baisdhara (Balaju Water Garden)

Baisdhara, also known as Balaju Water Garden is an ideal choice for rest inside Kathmandu Valley. The peaceful environment in Baisdhara will hold your soul in harmony and calmness. The place has 22 taps so the place is also called 'Baisdhara Park', The beautiful pond, the narrow form of Budhanilkantha temple, monkey activities, 22 taps, and greenery are the attraction of this place. Walking from the Balaju bus stand towards the north road one can reach there. Tickets are available for entry and also bike parking is available.
